SUMMARY:Makaton Taster Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Guides Taster Leaflet \nWant to learn a new skill\, and create a fun inclusive environment within your Girl Guides units? Then this Makaton Taster Workshop is for you! \nWhat is Makaton? This is a communication programme that uses symbols\, signs\, and speech to help people express themselves and develop essential language skills. \nWhat will I learn at the Taster? In this short 90 minute workshop\, you will learn a general introduction of what Makaton is\, and who uses it. This will be a fun and interactive workshop where you will learn 30 useful everyday words\, and an extra 12 focussed on Rainbows\, Brownies\, and Girl Guides. All participants receive a Certificate upon completion. \nThis workshop is available for all volunteers including Young Leaders. Places are limited to 12\, so bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis. The cost of the training is £7.00\, payable in advance (see details below).
