Thinking about camping at Guideacres this summer or autumn?
The Generation Green Project may be able to help some members of your unit to join in the fun.
Girlguiding are proud to be connecting young people with nature as part of the Generation Green project. While increasing numbers of people are enjoying our natural landscapes, figures from the Landscapes Review show that some groups (including adolescents, those from low socio-economic groups and BAME communities) are especially disconnected. That’s why, through this Generation Green project, we’re looking to widen participation and create equitable access for those in these groups, aged 7-26, so they can access and enjoy the outdoors.
This year Girlguiding have successfully secured external funding to offer grants to 2000 young people who camp overnight at one of the many locally owned/managed guiding campsites across the Midlands, North East England and North West England regions.
